Lake Louise School invites families to “Wild, Wild West Family Reading Night”

Who: Students and families from Lake Louise School

What: “Wild, Wild West Family Reading Night”

When: 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23

Where: Lake Louise School, 500 N. Jonathan Dr., Palatine

Details: The Lake Louise Reading Committee has invited students and their families to an evening of fun with a western theme, featuring campfire stories, a treasure hunt, and crafts (making a cowboy vest or a western-branded neckerchief). Story performer Chris Fascione, a professional actor-storyteller, will be on hand to help ignite the children's interest in literature and reading.

“I like to present a visual representation of a story that may spark an interest in students to go out and find that story to read for themselves … I want to make them listen, laugh and learn as they ‘see’ the story, encouraging them to read” said Chris Fascione.
