Thomas Jefferson Drama Club to present “Annie Jr.” at Cutting Hall
Members of the Drama Club at Thomas Jefferson School, Hoffman Estates, will present a lively version of the popular musical, “Annie Jr.” on Thursday, March 14, at Cutting Hall in Palatine.
Approximately 80 fifth- and sixth-grade students are participating in the performance, either in on-stage roles or as members of the backstage crew. The production is being directed by fifth-grade teacher Alessandra Kennedy, Drama Club sponsor, with assistance from other staff members and parent volunteers.
The cast and crew will stage two performances, one at 9:30 a.m. for third- through sixth-grade students who will be bused from the school to Cutting Hall, and the second at 7:30 p.m. for parents and community members. There will be a nominal admission charge.
The Drama Club, founded by Mrs. Kennedy, is in its fourth year. “Annie Jr.” is the group's fifth performance.
