Marion Jordan Students Write Biographies of Seniors

Who:
Fifth/sixth-grade gifted students from Marion Jordan School and participants in District 15’s Senior Exchange program.

What:
Students will read biographies they have written to the Senior Exchange members they interviewed for an interviewing/biography writing project.

When:
10 a.m. Friday, May 4

Where:
Maggie Rogers Auditorium, Marion Jordan School, 100 N. Harrison St., Palatine

Background:
Marianne Schultz, teacher of a fifth/sixth-grade gifted class at Marion Jordan School, created a project for her students involving both social studies and writing. Mrs. Schultz invited Senior Exchange members to the school to share their life stories with students, who then used the information to write individual biographies of each senior participant. The subjects of the biographies have been invited to the school to hear their life stories as chronicled by the students.
