Thank you for your interest in Lincoln School, home to approximately 800 kindergarten through sixth-grade students who continually “Strive for Excellence,” as our motto says. Our school community is committed to producing world-class learners who also respect and value the diversity found on our campus.

“We are committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student.” The staff at Lincoln School believes that every student has the ability to achieve impressive academic success and works hard to ensure that every student has the opportunity to be college ready, beginning in elementary school. As a member of the No Excuses University network of schools, Lincoln stresses academic achievement in all content areas, with particular emphasis on reading. Several special intervention programs are in place for children who need additional assistance. Bilingual and single language classes are integrated for academic activities in grades 1-2. Students enjoy instruction in art, general music, and physical education as well as the opportunity to participate in band and orchestra in fifth and sixth grades. Lincoln is also proud to have a video production studio that is run by a crew of fifth and sixth graders and hosted live each morning by students from every grade level.

In order to create a positive learning environment, Lincoln students and staff demonstrate PRIDE – Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Effort. Students are encouraged to make their Character Count every day by being Respectful, Safe, and Responsible/Ready to learn. Students are recognized for following Lincoln’s Lion Laws in monthly school-wide celebrations.

Community involvement is important to Lincoln. Our award-winning PTA involves families with fun and exciting activities such as Rec Nights and ice-cream socials. We also hold an annual Pumpkin Run and host special events such as Dads and Doughnuts and Moms and Muffins. Palatine High School students who are considering careers in education act as interns at Lincoln. The Senior Exchange allows older community residents the chance to assist us with a variety of important jobs in our school. Our students also reach out to the community through community service projects.

We are proud of our school and welcome the opportunity to share more with you. Please give us a call at 847-963-5700 for more information or to arrange a tour.

Sincerely,
Christie Samojedny
