Junior High Foreign Language Program
District 15 offers a foreign language program in each of its four
junior high schools. Each school has created its own unique and
flexible program.
Elementary World Language Clubs
Many of the schools in District 15 organize a before-school, noon-hour
or after-school club offering instruction in a modern world language.
Each school operates its own club.
English Language Learner Program
In accordance with the requirements of the state of Illinois, District 15
provides programs designed to meet the needs of students whose native
language is other than English. The purpose of our programs is to
accelerate English language literacy while valuing the social and
cultural knowledge that a child brings to school. Click

- W-APT—Used for initial assessment and placement of ELLs. The W-APT™ is an adaptive test that can gauge students' proficiency up to and beyond Level 5 of the WIDA ELP Standards.
- ACCESS—Annual test of ELLs which measure academic language proficiency. Click here for testing schedule.
Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (B-PAC)
El Comité de Padres Hispanos (B-PAC/ Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee) esta integrado por padres/protectores de estudiantes inscritos en el programa bilingüe, maestros bilingües, consejeros y líderes de la comunidad. Se reunirá 4 veces al año.
El comité participa en el planeamiento, operación y evaluación del programa bilingüe. Adicionalmente, temas importantes relacionados a la educación, el distrito y la comunidad son compartidos.
Padres bilingües, maestros y miembros de la comunidad son bienvenidos a participar. El comité se reunirá para el año escolar 2010-11:

B-PAC 2010-11 Schedule (PDF 302KB)
The Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (B-PAC) consists of parents/guardians of students enrolled in the bilingual program, bilingual teachers, counselors and community leaders.
The B-PAC meets 4 times a year. The committee participates in the planning, operation and evaluation of the bilingual program. In addition, important topics relating to education, the district and the community are shared.
Bilingual parents, staff representatives, and community members are encouraged to attend. Meetings for the 2010-11 school year are scheduled for:
