District 15 offers the following services for gifted and talented students:

  • Grades K-2—Differentiated instruction is provided in the regular classroom to meet the needs of gifted and talented students.

  • Grades 3-6—Approximately five percent of third- through sixth-grade students are identified for participation in self-contained gifted classes. These classes provide enrichment and acceleration in the curriculum throughout the school day.

  • Grades 7-8—Students are identified for participation in accelerated math and language arts classes.
