Daniel W. Lukich, Ph.D.

Daniel W. Lukich has been Community Consolidated School District 15 superintendent since July 1, 2008.
A native of Ohio, Dr. Lukich holds a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Mt. Union College in Alliance, Ohio; a master’s of science degree in personnel counseling and educational psychology from Miami University of Ohio, and a Ph.D. degree, also from Miami of Ohio. He also was a fellow at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Mich., where he served as an administrative intern in the Regional Center for Community Education, through a fellowship funded by a national grant from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
Since 1985, he has served as superintendent in four school districts: Union Schools, St. Clairsville, Ohio; Lawton Community Schools, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Gull Lake Community Schools, Richland, Mich.; and most recently, Orange Schools in Pepper Pike, Ohio. He was also a principal in Lewisburg, Ohio; a director/principal in Holland, West Ottawa, and Saugatuck Public Schools in Michigan; and an instructor of history and government at Bedford (Ohio) Schools.
Dr. Lukich and his wife Judy are the parents of four children. Three of them—Danielle, Lincoln and Andrew—are graduates of the U.S. Naval Academy, and the fourth, Alexander, will begin studies at the Naval Academy this summer. |
