A reasonably priced school lunch program is available at all 20 schools. Breakfast is also offered at many schools. Meals are prepared and packaged in individual servings in a central kitchen and delivered daily to the schools. Food services staff at the junior highs prepare food on-site daily. Each meal is nutritious and well-balanced, and menus are determined based on student preferences. Several choices are available each day. A monthly menu is distributed to students and can be found on the district’s Web site (see above). Breakfast and lunch may be purchased by the day, week, month, semester, or the year.

For the 2008-09 school year, the cost for breakfast is $1.25 per meal; the cost for lunch is $2.00 per meal for elementary students, and $2.10 for junior high students. Milk is available for sale to children who bring a lunch from home at a cost of 45¢ per ½ pint carton.

Elementary and junior high à la carte items are available for purchase, however, not all items are available at all schools, and not all items are available every day.

Free and reduced-price meals are available to children whose families are unable to pay full price. Application forms for these benefits are available at the schools and the Joseph M. Kiszka Educational Service Center.

MealTime OnlineMealTime Online

School Nutrition Services offers online meal payment program at all district schools.

Parents can pay for school meals and monitor student account balances and transactions online.

Payments into a student’s school meal account can be made with most credit (Visa or Mastercard) or debit cards. The MealTime Online payment Web site uses the most up-to-date security available. The online payment plan is an enhancement to the district’s existing pre-pay meal program. Cash or checks will still be accepted.

Parents can access their children’s meal account information at any time by visiting www.mymealtime.com or by clicking on the MealTime logo.
