Fifteen Educational Foundation
The mission of the District Fifteen Educational Foundation “is to acquire resources to be used for programs and projects to enhance and supplement the educational experience of District 15 students.”
Community members who foresaw the need of Community Consolidated School District 15 to provide for private financial investment in education established the Foundation in 1989. The Foundation is an autonomous 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization directed by a volunteer Board of Trustees from the District 15 community. To date, the Foundation has invested more than $1.7 million to advance the educational experience of District 15 students.
The Foundation has sponsored the following events:
Foundation Update for School Year 2007-08

The Read-o-Rama/Walk for Education had 16 participating schools raising more than $50,000.
- Fifteen mini-grants were awarded to District 15 school teachers/staff members in December 2008. Nine classroom programs and six technology initiatives were funded this year, for a total grant disbursement of $25,452.16. The Foundation has awarded mini-grants totaling more than $66,000 in the past three years.
- Worked with the Motorola Foundation to provide funding for seven LEGO League teams throughout the district.
- Funded the Rainbows grief program at Virginia Lake and Lake Louise elementary schools.

We will send a letter to the staff member to notify them of the gift that you have made in their honor and we will send you a letter in thanks for your tax deductible donation.
